Excogitative means to study intently and carefully in order to grasp or comprehend fully. Excogitative Therapy is a form of therapy where one looks at themselves and their surroundings to better understand themselves and those around them.

The author of this blog is a master’s level therapist and a registered mental health intern in the state of Florida pursuing state licensure as a mental health counselor. He has worked over the past two years in the areas of substance abuse and mental health counseling and has experience in both individual and group counseling. He currently works in a psychiatric hospital where he provides crises counseling, psychological evaluations, assessments and diagnosis. He also sees clients privately with various issues including substance abuse, depression, anxiety, relationship problems and grief.
